Hello again
It has been around three weeks since I have reached home and I feel completely bad for not having posted anything here. Alright, I'll just give you a quick review of what I've been up to:
1. Meeting friends
Right from Day 1 I have been moving around with them and hanging out at the movies or restaurants or fairs. Its been good fun
2. Tweeting
Its been an exhilarating experience. Following quite a lot of technically sound people and imbibing from them. Here's my follow
3. Movies, Music and Facebook
Facebook was definitely quite a lot of fun and it killed quite sometime while providing fun at the same time through quizzes. Also, I have developed the knack to watch movies and listen to loud music :D
4. Training and Google Reader
After finishing sophomore the college gives us an opportunity to work at a company and gain some industrial exposure. This has been a great experience so far and taught professionalism&management in a big way. Also, I have discovered Google Reader as an effective way of absorbing ( and sharing ) information over the internet. Just in case you are getting the feeling that its only technical stuff: you can get the rss feeds of your favourite blogs and land them in reader. You will never have to open their blog again!
A very good night :). Cheers!

Changes
It was sometime during the college fest last semester that I started deviating a bit from my studies. Like most hostellers, I found watching movies a good timepass. Only problem was I couldn't do without one movie everyday! The situation had worsened so much so that I had put away my computer before exams. If I had not done that I would have easily lost a few grades in some of the courses. On the whole I felt that the situation was back to normal when I finished my exams and went home.
So, when I came back to college in January for the second semester, things seemed rosy for a week. But on the very first weekend I started assembling the computer and went on with the movies and stuff. To add to the leisure we had no evaluative components in our first month. But, the scare of losing grades had instilled in me enough control. So, to begin with I had stopped sitting for long hours on the computer doing nothing useful.
As a school boy I was very shy, never talked to any girl if I could avoid it. I was very scared to talk to them ( never figured out why ). But, one fine day when I one of my old schoolmates started a conversation online I realized that there was nothing to be scared of. And moreover since our chats always took place through typing-on-the-keyboard I found it very enjoyable.
I shocked many of my school friends through this newly found freedom of mine because slowly the chats turned flirtatious. They could ( at least, I could understand from their words ) see that I was just flirting for fun yet some of them took it a bit seriously and even blocked ( :-( ) me on their chat list.
Despite all the stupid and dumb stuff I talked about, some of them found it a welcome change in me. As for me, I was looking forward to chat with them everytime they were online and never missed a chance to crack jokes ( poor jokes, though they were ) or even throw a few pick-up lines at the strangers. Some of my favourite were:
There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can't take them off your display pic!
If beauty was a drop of water, then you'd be the ocean.
im not feeling myself tonight, can I feel you? ( sorry if that was offensive )
But I guess you can understand ( from the extent I had gone up to ) that we were really close friends who just never happened to talk before :).
Two things that I had gained from all this chatting:
1) I could engage people for sometime online. My communication skills improved very much.
2) I started liking the so called girls-talk ( just to say that it is girls doing the talk and nothing else ) and girls as such.:D
So this is how I spent my first two months : balancing academics with chatting and cutting down on movies. Afterward ( third month ), we had our annual techfest in college:
I had organized a few events, did a project and participated in quite a few places. Through all this sudden activity on campus professionalism sprang in me; imbibed mostly from my seniors at college. I had understood how to manage things, what is the way to go about tackling problems and the like. So by the end of March I had understood quite a few things that some professionals take years to learn ( or so, I've been told ).
Then there were a flurry of tests ( 20 of them in 30 days ) so April supposedly looked like a dead end to me for everything except academics. But, whatI had learnt in the first three months was all to apply here. What I mean is I walked through April by striking a good balance in tests, chatting, some responsibilities and even found time to squeeze in few movies and the episodes of 'How I Met Your Mother'.
So, exactly when I was feeling good about everything, I could not concentrate properly for end-semester exams and they hit me bad. Now, in the final week looking back at the super-fast semester that this has been I'm wondering about a single thing. And I feel that many a people must be wondering for an answer or suggestion regarding the same. And this particular thing I will reveal in my next post.
Well no, I was just kidding. I don't like keeping people in suspense. All I am wondering is :
" Is life all about multi-tasking? "
What I exactly mean is that, should we learn to keep a track of every committment in life? Or should we be concentrate on doing only the one most important ( high priority ) thing at any given time?
P.S. Although, this has been like a diary entry, I am wishing to find an answer very soon. Since I will have to be spending every semester after this in the same fashion ( Its an obligation now : social and professional :) ) knowing the answer is very important.

Addictive
Well, so much for my exam preparation. PNN is addictive, and it will haunt you until you keep posting as many as you can.
Compared to blogger where there is very little chance for anyone to take your blog very seriously, PNN tracks down the latest posts and the good people here give it a read. The comments are a warm welcome and I shall try my best to keep up with everybody.
I could have as well put this in reply to the comments on the first post, but the joy of putting in another post is great. :)
Semester would be ending by 13th and I am feeling excited about going back home for my summer vacation. Things have changed a lot with me this semester.

Hello!
Hello,
I am an undergraduate at BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan ( India ). I am an average student who enjoys life. There are a lot of things I have learnt from the things happening around through self-realization.
There are a lot of reasons why I choose to blog here on PNN. The main reason is that I want to reach out to a wider audience. The concept of editing boxes and placing them wherever we like is exciting and I can't wait to try it out.
But I guess that it will be sometime before my blog starts getting flooded with posts or other interesting stuff. This is because we are having ebd-semester exams right now and its time I got back to studying.
Will be back with posts in a week from now. Till then have a good time :)
